The Ay vineyard, covering 366 hectares, is situated in the Vallée de la Marne. Its direct southern exposure and irregular slopes enable the Pinot Noir to have an aroma of ripe fruit. At first I discovered an intense gold colour for this mainly Pinot Noir blend. Open nose, elegant with great depths of flavour, baked apples, brioche an cherries. The palate is Powerful yet very elegant, apple, toasty notes and citrus finish. Spicy biscuit crumb stay in the palate for a great length of time. I would recommend a good country-style dish of Rabbit.
