Festive Canapes Selection

In Events on December 16, 2009 at 3:10 pm

As New Year’s Eve is approaching, the dilemma of what canapes should you serve with the champagne of your choice is once again arising. True to our five-star service we would like to help you make an impression with our suggestions.

New Year’s Eve is all about sparkle and glitter so you should take extra care on what wine to choose. You should definitively ban the regular blend drank throughout the year and opt for something a little bit more exiting and special.

Blanc de Blanc is the perfect choice because these champagnes are much more tasteful and warmer on the palate for a cold night outside and the guarantee of a new experience for your guests. We suggest Andre Jacquart Vertus Experience, De Sousa Blanc de Blanc Reserve or the new addition to our portfolio Philipponnat Grand Blanc 2000. The canapes to serve with these can be the following: Veal Carpaccio, Ceps Risotto (In spoons or small pots), Mussels and Chicory and Langoustines and almonds.

Should you like to choose a Rose we would suggest Henri Giraud Esprit Rose, Andre Jacquart Rose Experience or Gosset Grand Rose. The best canapes for these are Asian Tuna Tartare, Venison Carpaccio, Scallops and basil puree and Oysters and Smoked Salmon.

Remember that all these canapes can be prepared in advance and will really impress your guests for this new year but we encouage you to try to organise your own champagne dinner.

Enjoy it!
